APPEARANCE
Zoey is pale, with black hair and blue eyes. Lithe, muscular build and around 5’4 in height. She gets her eyes from her father, and her colouring and height from her mother. She tends to dress in dark, vibrant colours, and can tend towards the more gothic/corseted/retro styles. Jeans and dresses are equally her thing, with boots and flats.

If it’s nice enough out and she's able… she runs around barefoot; a holdover from gymnastics. Shoes are a pain in the ass when you’re doing a floor routine or are on the balance beam. She tends to use her agility to get to out of the way places, or find just the perfect place to sit/perch (the higher the better). It’s not quite parkour, but by the gods she can climb and jump and scale her way to out of the way places with ease.

Her face is heart shaped, and there’s a small scar running just through her right eyebrow from what was dubbed the fireworks incident. There’s a faint smattering of freckles over her nose and cheeks, but they’re not really visible unless you’re right next to her.

Her mostly straight black hair falls around her shoulder blades and is usually worn down, though she wears it pulled back or braided if she’s doing gymnastics or aerial silks. There are always a handful of hair ties around her wrist, in case she needs one on short notice.

She has a tattoo of a flowering vine, starting at her foot/ankle, that winds up her right leg, curves up her hip and onto her back, stopping at the top of her right shoulder.

PERSONALITY
Zoey is incredibly fairly sarcastic at times, especially if she doesn’t know someone. She can be friendly, but is very cautious about letting people actually get close to her as both a result of moving around so much after her mother died (for her father’s new job), and her gift. What was the point of making friends if only to move away a few months later? So Zoey instead gained acquaintances wherever she went. People who she got along with well enough to not mind spending some time with them, but never really truly got to know them, or let them get to know her. She also gained an ability to be all right with being alone. Guarded is a good way to describe her.

Zoey is an extremely intelligent young woman, though she doesn’t mind pretending to be less so sometimes, in order to make people underestimate her. She doesn’t generally care what people think of her, and she’s well aware of the fact that she’s more than a little bit odd at times. Portents of the future tend to do that to a person.

She loves the rain. When she was a child she’d go outside and play whenever there was a downpour. Afterwards she would go inside and her father would fix her a cup of hot chocolate. Then they’d sit down and read. When she was small he’d read to her. But not the typical fare one would usually read to a child. He read her the Dune series, Dracula, and Shakespeare’s plays. And as a result she was usually completely at a loss as to why other children didn’t know what the Fremen were, who Van Helsing was, hadn’t read The Colour out of Space by H.P. Lovecraft, or weren’t familiar with Mercutio’s Queen Mab speech from Romeo and Juliet.

This tradition also led to her becoming an avid reader as she grew up. She also devoured every mythology she could get her hands on; the mythology books took up a lot of room on her bookcase.

Zoey has an irrational fear of elevators. Something about it being a small enclosed space that moves freaks her out. Oddly enough, enclosed spaces that don’t move don’t bother her at all.

Maybe it's because of how she was raised, or the fact that she's just had to deal with things, but she's generally able to keep a level head when it comes to intense or stressful situations. Take care of things, deal with what's happening now, and deal with the rest later. She might be freaking the fuck out on the inside, but on the outside she's reasonably calm and collected. Granted, she tends to get a little (or a LOT) mouthy when under pressure. Sarcasm and snark are weapons in her arsenal she makes clever use of.

Being able to compartmentalize things has come as a direct result of her gift of foresight. She's trained herself to put whatever it is she has to in a box at the back of her mind so she can deal with reaction, fall apart a little, or anything else, after the immediate crisis is done, once she's alone. This ability to compartmentalize has been helped, in no small part, by her adaptability. She's an incredibly adaptable young woman, and even if she hadn't been that way from a very young age she would have become so over the course of dealing with her gift.

As a result of moving around so much and spending so much time on her own, she's an incredibly independent person. And pretty damn stubborn to boot; it helps with the remaining calm and collected in tough situations.

Zoey Irulan Westen grew up in England with two parents that indulged her early interest in history and literature. They often took trips to various historical sites, as Cassandra Westen’s job was quite well-paying.

It was when she was six and a half that Zoey’s gift of ‘sight fully manifested itself. Even before that age she was a keenly aware little girl, who sometimes knew things before they were going to happen. But it wasn't a constant, not the way it was once it fully manifested. At first she didn’t think anything of it; sure, she’d know the words someone was going to speak before they said them, or know without a doubt that someone was going to drop something or trip moments before it occurred; even a person's name before they were introduced. She had had it happen before. It was no big deal.

But it wasn’t until her first vision that she started figuring things out. That young, she didn’t know to keep it to herself. She told. It didn’t go well; the information spread through the school like wildfire, and by the end of the week her schoolmates thought she was weird and a little crazy. She learned her lesson well, and from that point on guarded her gift closely.

When she was ten, Zoey’s mother died. And she had a vision of it; it was the first time a vision had ever affected her personally, and it broke her heart. Afterwards, her father took a job that involved them having to move regularly. Thomas Westen didn’t need to work, as his wife had left her family very well off, but he wanted to do more than just live off his deceased wife’s money. It took them everywhere from France to Australia.

Zoey went to a lot of different schools, and rapidly grew accustomed to it; she kept to herself a lot of the time. There were maybe two or three people that she became close enough to that she actually kept in touch. Despite the number of schools, she was still smart enough to skip a few grades.

Shortly after her father found a job that let him return to England and put down roots in London again, Zoey left for college and majored in ancient/medieval history (Europe) and mythology and folklore, with a minor in archaeology. She had found herself with a great interest in the subject, ever since she was a child; especially the myths involving seers.

That focus/interest was, of course, due to the fact that she was intimately familiar with both prophecy and foresight. And as she was the only seer she knew her only source of knowledge was books.

ABILITIES
Zoey was her father’s little girl. He taught her how to play pool, and sword-fighting (when she proceeded past his ability he found her an instructor wherever they were living). When she wanted to learn gymnastics he, of course, agreed. She LOVED gymnastics, and kept up with when she could, even learning corde lisse and aerial silks. She used her gymnastics skills to get to out of the way places, or a good place to sit (the higher up the better). While she was abroad, she found a place to teach her corde lisse/aerial silks more in-depth. It turned out she had a knack for it.

She is skilled with dual long daggers, long swords, gladius, and fighting fans, as well as the quarterstaff and bow; although the quarterstaff is her least strong weapon, due to her taking it up the most recently out of all the weapons she's trained with.

Zoey is also ambidextrous; which she puts to very good use in her tendency to dual wield weapons.

One of her favourite non-physical hobby (besides reading, of course) is photography. She loves taking photographs of places; especially old buildings. She kind of collects cameras as much as she collects swords. While living in Australia, she discovered a love of pottery and sculpture. Throwing a pot on a pottery wheel or working with clay freehand quickly was added to her list of favourite hobbies, and no matter where she lived she tried to keep up with it. The pottery wheel that her father gave her as a birthday present travelled with them. It was just a matter of gathering the rest of the necessary supplies.

She has an ear for accents and enjoys occasionally dropping into something different. During college she'd pick a class and use a different accent in that class. Fooled the professors, and amused the few students who had other classes with her. Interestingly, this often happens when Zoey is drinking (and sometimes when she's tired). When she drinks she tends to get... English. Both vocabulary and accent. It’s much more noticeable than when she is sober (there is still an accent then, but it’s not as noticeable, due to her having moved around so much).

She doesn't consider herself a polyglot (though she is, since the definition is being able to speak or write multiple languages), but she does know a LOT of languages fluently. Russian, French, Greek, Czech, Romanian, Latin, Finnish, Coptic, Old English, and Latvian, to be exact. More to be added at my whims. Not counting dialects. And British Sign Language. She knows curses in pretty much every language that she could get her hands on, even ones she doesn’t know fluently. When she's extremely tired she tends to stop thinking entirely in English, so she occasionally shifts into speaking other languages. She's gotten pretty good at realising when it's happening, though.

Zoey learned to dance (her favourites are the tango and the waltz) when she made the acquaintance of an instructor while in Spain. He was close to being someone she considered a friend. She would deny this, of course, instead deeming him a 'close acquaintance'.

She has parkour skills LIKE A BOSS, due to her penchant for finding the highest points possible. (She would sometimes, when she was running late for class, free climb the building to the window of her classroom and slip inside before she could be counted as late for class. She’s vexed many an instructor that way. And security.)

Something ELSE her father taught her was how to throw knives/daggers. And when she was young he would take her to fairs and re-enactments (and the occasional bar) and essentially make the claim that his daughter was more of a man than the big burly guys doing the knife throwing. Obviously they didn't exactly believe that was in any way possible. So then wee!Zoey would show her skill. They bought many a fancy dinner that way.

Zoey is also a seer. The whole kit and kaboodle. Dreams and portents, etc. Past, present, future. Whether or not it’s appropriate or even accurate, she tends to use the term ‘sight’ as a catch-all term for her gift. Usually manifesting itself in dreams or a prickling at the back of her neck, on her skin. The prickling/crawling of her skin is the primary way her abilities warn her of danger. The stronger the sensation, the more immediate and bad the danger is.

Sometimes she gets an idea about something and it occurs, or words pop into her head and someone around her utters them mere moments later. She can’t count the number of times she’s learned someone’s name before being told. Sometimes she just KNOWS. Someone will spill a drink, or trip on some stairs, and the like.

Her dreams are sometimes cryptic, fragmented, and occasionally hard to remember upon awakening beyond the vague feeling that SOMEthing is going to happen, and whether it’s good or bad (the details would reveal themselves in time; usually in déjà vu or the like). But not always. Every dream is different. So one might be cryptic but hard to remember, and the next fragmented but straightforward.

And her visions of the past are always straightforward. Re-living bits of someone’s life, experiencing it for herself.

Sometimes she even wakes from her dreams with the taste of something lingering on her tongue (the taste of tar, the taste of blood, for examples). The worse the vision/the more important the vision the more intense it is. At their worst she is screaming and writhing in agony, crying tears of blood. Lesser degrees involve feeling and suffering the pains of injuries, spitting up mouthfuls of blood. She has taken to keeping a detailed journal of all her visions. It has expanded over time to fill several journals.

In part because of her gift of foresight, she is something of a sensitive when it comes to things the naked eye can’t see. She’s very aware of her own mind, having essentially trained herself to be once her gift manifested and she figured out what it was. She’s a slight touch telepathic, too, although she's not aware of it; but she is aware when other people try to muck around with her head and can fight them/keep them out to some degree. She simply believes it's a side effect of her gift of sight.

Zoey has an eidetic memory; whether this is natural or a side effect of her gift of sight, she has no idea. (Spoilers, it’s natural and has nothing to do with her gift.)
PERFECT RECALL
Zoey has the ability to remember and recall everything she hears, sees, and experiences with perfect clarity. Whether this is natural or a side effect of her gift of sight, she has no idea. But she tends to believe that it's because of her gift.

It's a little harder for her to find places where she can indulge, which is why she tends to travel with silks she can attach to trees.

SEER
A Seer is an individual who can see things hidden from others and also has the ability to predict the future or speak for the gods. A seer usually acts as a guide, whether it be for good or evil depends on the user in question. Seers also have special knowledge of the divine or supernatural realms and some receive special wisdom, power or understanding from deities or spirits. Seers are individuals closest to what one would call the "absolute truth" of the world. The abilities of each seer will vary as well as the cost, if there is any, for their gift.
CLAIRVOYENCE
The power to acquire information using sight outside the normal range of detection. Users can acquire information using sight outside the normal range of detection about an object, person, location, or physical event. Usually, they can also do so without the aid of their vision, allowing them to act when they are unable to use their eyes.

Users would be able to detect beings/entities normally completely undetectable, like spiritual and psychic beings. Additionally, they can perceive sights and visual sensations from other dimensions and from past events, future events, or locations that are currently outside the range of normal human senses or vision.
DANGER INTUITION
The power to detect impending threats. Variation of Intuitive Apptitude. The user can sense nearing danger, acute danger, potential immediate danger, or impending danger and sense unwanted or hectic threats to their well-being and evade it. The intuition usually regards themselves but may include their surroundings (like a distant car-wreck).
DEATH SENSE
The power to sense the coming of death and the actual act of dying. The user can sense the coming of death, determining when someone is dead or dying or if others have died in a specific location. This may extend to seeing the names and lifespans of those whose faces the user sees.
DREAM SCRYING
The ability to dream about far off events that's currently happening. The user has the power to dream about something that is happening elsewhere in present time.
EVENT EXPERIENCING
The power to experience events from various periods of time. User can physically experience the events from various points in time (past, future, alternate timelines etc.) as if they were actually happening to them at that moment but without actually going anywhere, allowing them to not only experience the event but also know what is going on then, including sights, smells, sounds, feelings, tastes, their emotional state at the time and even see and hear the people around them at that moment.
FLASH PRECOGNITION
The power to perceive the future seconds or minutes before the event takes place. Users are able to see into a short-term future if usually only seconds or minutes worth. While useless for long predictions, it does give several practical advantages.
ONEIROMANCY
The power to gain insight into a question or situation by way of dreams. User can employ a method of reading the future, the present and the past and/or provide help to a problem at hand by interpreting dreams.
PRECOGNITION
The power to perceive future events. Users can foresee possible futures and observe what may happen. As knowledge of the future invariably causes that future to change, visions of the future are subject to frequent shifting. While not being able to select futures or travel through time, these visions may assist in possible courses of action.
PRECOGNITIVE ARTISTRY
The power to predict the future through visual art. The user can predict the future by writing, drawing, or painting pictures.
PRECOGNITIVE DREAMING
The power to perceive future events while in a dream state. The user is capable of perceiving future events in dreams.
PRECOGNITIVE SPEECH
The ability to perceive future and/or recite/prophesy it. Variation of Precognition. The user can perceive future and/or recite/prophesy it aloud, they may be aware of the process and able to control it, or it may be completely involuntary and/or be uttered in trance.
PSYCHOMETRY
The power to perceive the residual information of an object and/or person. The user of Psychometry obtains historical memories or sensations concerning beings and objects they observe. With objects, they gain knowledge including the makers, users, and even those who have on passing used the object, and what has been done with it. With living beings or parts of the body, the user learns their general life-history, and in Zoey’s case but doesn't gain anything of what they were thinking or feeling.
RETROCOGNITION
The power to perceive past events. Users can discern the past and past events using various means, usually entering a trance while seeing and hearing a noted past event, whether it be concerning themselves or of an unfamiliar lineage in a past occurrence. The user can recall any event that happened in the past, even obscure, intricate events. Occasionally spontaneous. This ability shows who did what at that particular time; similar to the psionic/extrasensory ability of Clairvoyance but only seeing anything from the past, despite not being there.
RETROCOGNITIVE ARTISTRY
The power to discern the past through visual art. The user can discern events of the past with writing, painting or drawing the pictures.
RETROCOGNITIVE DREAMING
The power to perceive past events while in a dream state. The user is capable of perceiving past events while dreaming.
RETROCOGNITIVE SPEECH
The ability to discern past and/or recite/prophesy it. The user can discern past and/or recite/prophesy it aloud, they may be aware of the process and able to control it, or it may be completely involuntary and/or be uttered in trance.
PSIONICS
The ability to use mental/psychic powers.
EMPATHY
The power to fully interpret and replicate the emotions, moods, and temperaments of others.
CLAIREMPATHY
The power to detect emotional resonances from other locations and times.
TACTILE EMPATHY
The ability to sense, understand and/or manipulate emotions through touch. User can wield empathic abilities through physical contact with a subject. Tactile engagement initiates one’s ability to read temperaments, and detect mood shifts
EXTRASENSORY PERCEPTION
The power to acquire information by means other than the ordinary senses or previous experience. Users can acquire information by means independent of any of their known senses or previous experience. This applies to any and all kinds of information, knowledge, wisdom, experience, etc. Information can be either personal (memories, thoughts, etc.) or impersonal (academic knowledge, data, etc.). This ability can be used passively (as an instinctual reaction) or actively (by wanting to know specific information).
CLAIRALIENCE
The power to acquire information using smell outside the normal range of detection. Users can acquire information using smell outside the normal range or not connected to their ordinary or physical senses, being extrasensory perception in "smell" form, on distances beyond their normal ranges or being able to sense scents that are beyond their normal olfactory range. They may be able to smell psychic/spiritual levels/beings. In addition, users could psychically perceive smells and nasal sensations from past events, future events or locations currently out of normal human smelling range. Furthermore, they could perceive smells and nasal sensations from other dimensions. They could even psychically receive olfactory and nasal sensations (i.e. itchy nose, stuffy nose, runny nose, anosmia, sneezing, bloody nose), with the presence of psychic energy.
CLAIRAUDIENCE
The power to hear things outside the range of normal perception. Users can hear in a way that isn't connected to their physical senses, on distances beyond their normal ranges, or being able to sense sounds that are beyond their normal auditory range. They may be able to hear psychic/spiritual levels/beings. In addition, the user could psychically perceive voices and other sounds from past events, future events or locations currently beyond hearing range. Furthermore, perceive voices from disembodied spirits and other extradimensional entities. Users could even psychically receive auditory sensations (earache, sudden heightened hearing volume or range, sudden deafness, ringing in the ears, etc), with the presence of psychic energy.
CLAIRCOGNIZANCE
The power to gain information of all sorts through intrinsic means. The user can gain information about a person, object, place, skillset, ability, or event through intrinsic knowledge, as in it just "comes to" the user's mind. In addition, users could psychically perceive information from past and future events or locations currently beyond mental or sensory range. Furthermore, they could acquire knowledge from disembodied spirits and other extradimensional entities, wherein enables them to translate other biological senses into a cognitive equivalent.
CLAIROMANCY
The power to detect events from other locations and times. The user can detect events from other locations and times. In addition, as users are currently divining in the past, present, future as they psychically perceive whether the supernatural omen is from either course of history, often at will. Users in some cases, may even perceives in their mind to the identity of other subjects that’s been received, receiving, or will receive a given supernatural omen, often at will.
CLAIRSENTIENCE
The power to feel things outside the range of normal perception. User can feel in a way that isn't connected to their physical senses, on distances beyond their normal ranges or being able to sense things that are beyond their normal tactile range. In addition, users could perceive textures and tactile sensations from past events, future events or locations currently out of normal human touch range. Furthermore, they could psychically perceive textures and tactile sensations from other dimensions. Users could even receive textures and tactile sensations (i.e. itchy palms, hairs standing on end, a prickly feeling, heat/cold, etc.), with the presence of psychic energy.
PSIONIC DETECTION
The ability to sense the presence of psionic/psychic powers.
HYPER AWARENESS
The power to have an increased sense of awareness. The user has an increased sense of awareness far above those of the user's species, often to the extent that few, if any, little details miss their notice.
PSYCHIC PERCEPTION
The power to perceive/read psychic phenomena. The user can perceive and read psychic phenomena such as auras, souls, energies, emotions, thoughts, memories, essence, etc.
LEVITATION
The power to levitate. Users can cause oneself/subjects/objects to hover/float in the air unassisted, allowing the user to seamlessly float in the air and prevent their bodies from making contact with the ground below.
PSIONIC INTUITION
The power to gain knowledge through psionic means. User can sense when something is about to happen, before it does or have knowledge of any given subject through paranormal means or actions. This allows the user to sense and predict attacks, and enables them to act as needed to defend themselves/others.
PSYCHOGRAPHY
The power to write/draw/type without conscious thought or deliberation. The user can write, draw, and/or type without thought or judgement for what is coming through, allowing them to produce messages/images while their attention is not focused and without consciously trying.
TELEKINESIS
The ability to move, manipulate or otherwise interact with objects/matter with one's mind. Telekinesis (from Greek: τηλε- "far off" and κίνηση "movement") is the ability to influence/control/manipulate matter or another aspect of a physical system with the ‘mind’ or through other non-physical means. Commonly, the most basic and fundamental trait is to move or otherwise interact with objects (or alternatively, to generate and apply physical force on a target, or potentially, an area) both from a distance and without physical contact.

As the ability is connected to the mind of the user, it can either be activated and controlled through conscious effort and concentration, through willpower and emotions of a particular level of intensity, or through achieving a state of discipline and serenity. In some cases, the ability can respond to the user’s thoughts, ideas and whims, making it far easier to activate but potentially more difficult to control. Moreover, these aspects of the user's mind and mental capacity at large can affect the accuracy, precision, range, arc, radius, and strength of their ability, as well as the subsequent limitations of its intuitiveness, usability, functionality, and reliability in various situations.

Telekinesis is one of the bases of many superpowers that are based on "controlling/manipulating," and may evolve to the point that a Telekinetic can control anything at a subatomic, particle, and universal level.
TACTILE TELEKINESIS
The power to utilize telekinetic abilities through physical contact. The user can utilize telekinetic abilities via physical contact on objects, this allows the user to simulate supernatural physical abilities, manipulate the object and its matter makeup. The user can also use it on themselves such as lifting one's body through the air or create a dense telekinetic forcefield to protect them from physical damage.

The power to emit blasts of telekinetic energy. The user can release telekinetic energy over a specific target or area, causing great damage, repelling targets and/or delivering great shock waves of pure force.
TELEPATHY
The power to mentally interact with other minds. Users can mentally interact with the mind, consciousness, and thoughts of themselves or others through mental power/capacity, thus being able to read/sense another person's thoughts, communicate with them mentally, and a plethora of other capabilities without the aid of physical communication (noise or movement).

Telepathy has three common categories; Telepathic Communication, which is the ability to transmit information from one mind to another, Telepathic Perception, which is the ability to receive information with one’s mind, and Telepathic Manipulation, which is the ability to influence the minds of others to varying degrees.
MIND LINK
The ability to develop a mental link with another living being. The power to link minds with other living being, sharing thoughts, memories, emotions or feelings.
SENSORY SCRYING
The power to perceive through other beings' senses. The user can "hitch-hike" other beings' senses and experience what happens as they were them. This power grants the user with the ability to taste, feel, smell, see and/or hear from others senses. It allows the user to experience the world as their target would.
TACTILE TELEPATHY
The ability to utilize telepathic abilities via tactile interactions. The user possesses telepathic abilities through physical contact. Users can read thoughts by touching a person, sense memories, emotions.
MISC
🌕 Zoey has a tattoo of a flowering vine, starting at her right foot, that winds up her right leg, curves up her hip and onto her back, stopping at the top of her right shoulder, right at the crook of her neck/place where neck meets shoulder.

🌕 Zoey has a rather high alcohol tolerance, especially for how slight she is. She has taken complete and utter advantage of this at times and drunk men three times her size under the table easily.

🌕 Zoey likes high places and will oftentimes find the highest point she can to perch.
